Integrative Medical Services in Salt Lake City
We don't view your health through a keyhole. It’s entirely common to navigate more than one concern at a time. Whether you are dealing with weight management, depression and anxiety, chronic or acute pain, migraines, sleep disturbances, or a dermatological issue; symptoms rarely exist in a vacuum. Everything is interconnected.
When scheduling your initial appointment, you might have more than one concern, or you might come in thinking you need an Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) plan, but together we may discover that prioritizing a GLP-1 protocol for weight management or addressing an underlying mental health issue is the real key to unlocking your vitality. We will figure out a care plan together.
Plan on spending a full hour with Elizabeth for your initial work up. Please indicate your top 1-3 concerns and we will send you accompanying paperwork/screeners prior to your appointment so that your time can be spent in the most effective way possible.
-
A deep-dive, holistic evaluation of your complete health history. Whether your primary concern is metabolic health, mental well-being, chronic pain, hormone balance, or skin changes, we look at how these elements intersect. Together, we will untangle the root causes and co-create your personalized, foundational treatment plan.
-
Established patients to review progress, evaluate recent lab work, and fine-tune ongoing protocols. Whether we are adjusting a GLP-1 dosage, tweaking your hormone balancing (HRT) regimen, monitoring skin changes, or tracking improvements in your sleep and mood, this session ensures your care remains dynamic, protective, and perfectly aligned with how your body is evolving.
Our Process
The traditional healthcare system often leaves people feeling unseen, unheard, and rushed through a revolving door. Our practice operates differently. Healing is an intentional, structured partnership built on a clinical framework designed to give you your voice back.
Pre-Consultation Evaluation
Before you even step through our door or log onto a screen, our work together begins. You will complete targeted clinical screeners and intake paperwork. Unlike traditional clinics where these forms vanish into a chart never to be read, we review and analyze your data before your visit. Utilizing advanced clinical training in mental health, lifestyle, and personality assessment frameworks, we evaluate these tools to prioritize your immediate needs and strategically guide our upcoming discussion.
Your Narrative Intake
Your initial consultation is a dedicated, full-hour session. This isn’t a rushed checklist; it is a space for your story, your history, and your narrative. Patients routinely come to us feeling dismissed by medicine; here, you are fully seen and heard. We look at the absolute entirety of your health history to understand how the pieces of your biology and life intersect.
Evidence-Based Testing
Diagnostics are ordered with strict clinical intention. We never duplicate previous medical work unnecessarily or order tests without clear reasoning. From there, we co-create your foundational treatment plan. This strategy focuses on calming an over-activated nervous system, optimizing sleep, and establishing nutrition as a cornerstone of cellular healing. Where appropriate, your plan may integrate targeted medications, precise compounded peptides, or bioidentical hormones.
Systemic Sustainable Support
True wellness sometimes requires a village. If your goals call for deeper specialized care, we connect you with a trusted network of experts—including interventional pain management, specialized physical therapy, registered dietitians, or advanced psychiatric services. Our ultimate goal is not to keep you as a forever, dependent patient. Follow-up care is designed to adjust your protocols, track your progress, and systematically transition you toward sustainable self-care, autonomy, and lasting vitality.
Focus Areas
-
Achieving sustainable metabolic health goes far beyond standard advice. This is a deep dive into the unique interconnected factors influencing your weight—including metabolic function, hormonal balance, sleep quality, and lifestyle patterns. Whether your path involves advanced medical protocols (such as GLP-1 medications), hormone optimization, or targeted lifestyle shifts, we will design a realistic strategy tailored entirely to your biology and your life.
-
Your skin is a dynamic mirror of your internal health, and surface shifts are often the first key to uncovering underlying metabolic or hormonal imbalances. At the same time, we recognize the deep emotional toll of skin changes. Whether navigating aging or skin laxity following a weight loss journey, it can be disheartening when your outside doesn’t match the vibrant person you are on the inside. We bridge the gap between clinical dermatology and holistic wellness to restore both your skin's health and your confidence.
-
Utilizing precise, high-quality compounding strategies and compounded peptides to investigate the underlying systemic, metabolic, and lifestyle triggers behind persistent pain and exhaustion. Instead of managing symptoms with heavy-handed fixes, we look at the cellular level to untangle the root causes of chronic fatigue and safely restore your baseline energy
-
Hormone optimization should be a precise, deeply individualized science—not a trend. Especially in Utah, HRT is frequently aggressively marketed, over-prescribed, or initiated far too young. Fluctuations during perimenopause and menopause profoundly impact your sleep, mood, and anxiety. We advocate for a gentle, evidence-based, protective approach focused on micro-adjustments and sustainable equilibrium without overwhelming your system.
-
True mental wellness requires looking beyond a single diagnosis to understand how your brain and body communicate. Because mental health is deeply interconnected with your overall biology, we won't just treat your symptoms in isolation. We will look at the whole picture—including lifestyle, sleep architecture, and metabolic or hormonal influences—to untangle what you are experiencing and co-create an integrative plan to help you regain emotional balance.

Chronic fatigue and pain are systemic signals, not just "in your head." Our approach targets the source using a combination of interventional and biochemical tools. This includes Dry Needling to reset over-activated tissue, Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) for neuro-inflammation, and targeted GLP-1 protocols where metabolic inflammation is a driver. If your needs go beyond our clinic, I utilize an extensive referral network of specialists to ensure no part of your recovery is left to chance.

My background in bariatrics and obesity medicine provides a deep understanding of the collagenopathy that defines hypermobility. I specialize specifically in the Hypermobile Type (hEDS), focusing on systemic stabilization and "getting moving again." Please note: We do not provide genetic testing or management for vascular or classical subtypes. Our work is centered on clinical advocacy and functional progress for those ready to actively engage in their recovery.

Reactive Hypoglycemia
Reactive hypoglycemia is one of the most underdiagnosed metabolic conditions we see—and one of the most life-altering once properly identified. If you have ever experienced sudden crashes in energy, shakiness, brain fog, irritability, or intense sugar cravings 2–4 hours after eating, your body may be producing exaggerated insulin surges in response to food. Over time, this cycle of spike-and-crash doesn't just make you miserable; it drives weight gain, disrupts sleep architecture, fuels anxiety and mood instability, and lays the metabolic groundwork for insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
The conventional approach often misses this entirely. Standard fasting glucose and A1C panels can come back perfectly normal while your postprandial insulin is telling a completely different story. This is where the insulin theory of obesity becomes critical to understanding what is actually happening in your body: it is not simply about calories in and calories out. Chronically elevated insulin—driven by dietary composition, meal timing, and individual metabolic response—actively promotes fat storage, blocks fat mobilization, and creates a biochemical environment where losing weight feels physiologically impossible, because it nearly is.
We utilize continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) as a real-time diagnostic and educational tool. A CGM allows us to see exactly how your unique biology responds to specific foods, meal timing, sleep quality, stress, and exercise. Instead of generic dietary advice, we build a protocol based on your actual data. Many patients are stunned to discover that foods they believed were healthy are triggering significant glucose and insulin spikes, while other foods they had been avoiding are perfectly well-tolerated. This is precision medicine, not guesswork.
Symptoms we commonly see in reactive hypoglycemia include postprandial fatigue and energy crashes, anxiety and irritability between meals, brain fog and difficulty concentrating, intense carbohydrate and sugar cravings, disrupted sleep (particularly early-morning waking driven by cortisol surges in response to overnight hypoglycemia), unexplained weight gain or inability to lose weight despite effort, tremor or shakiness, and heart palpitations. If this list reads like your daily life, you are not imagining it and you are not lazy. Your metabolism is sending distress signals, and we know how to listen.
