Frequently Asked Questions

  • Membership typically includes access to our full library of nutritional information (videos and pdfs) and tirzepatide (up to 7.5mg per week for Silver/ up to 15mg per week for Gold or Platinum). There are other perks like not paying full price for work ups for additional issues should they arise.

  • If your provider deems other prescriptions appropriate, they will be called into (e-scribed) to your pharmacy of choice or compounded with a partner pharmacy. These are sometimes covered by your insurance but we cannot guarantee this.

  • We do not have the resources to do PAs, unfortunately. We are finding that insurance companies are spending more and more resources on AI to deny prior authorizations for medications, which is low effort on their end but can take countless man hours on the end of small clinics and has become unsustainable for many. We cannot dedicate the time needed to fight with big insurance. This is a sad reality of the world we are living in - and urge you to write to your senator and congressman about it as they may be unaware.

  • Memberships are flexible and can be canceled at any time from your account. You’ll retain access through the end of your current billing cycle.

  • No-Shows are a huge problem in healthcare (they cost the healthcare industry $150bn per year and cost us $150-200 per slot). We value your time and ask that you do the same. We will charge you for the spot and if you no-show repeatedly, you will not be allowed to book at certain “prime” spots of the day, if you no-show three times, you could be asked to no longer be a patient.

If there is a reason that you cannot come to your appointment, communicate with us, we are not unreasonable and life happens. We are far more likely to work with people we know well who have been consistently reliable as these sorts of policies are really to prevent abuse (not punish the one-off mistake).

  • It’s Friday night and I think I’m having a reaction to my medication!

For non-urgent side effects (mild, nausea, mild redness at the injection site), message us through the portal or send an email and we will respond during the next business day.

However, if you experience signs of a severe reaction - difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, severe abdominal pain, don’t wait for a reply - call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

We are a wellness and specialty clinic - not an urgent care or ER.

  • The Policy: We don't believe in unnecessary testing. If you have had metabolic labs (A1c, CMP, Lipids, Thyroid) within the last 6 months, we can use those. Simply bring them with you. If your labs are outdated or missing, we will order a targeted panel for you to have drawn at a lab. We do not draw labs in the clinic.

  • Tirzepatide and Hormones are temperature-sensitive. You are responsible for maintaining the cold chain during travel. Medication that has been left at room temperature for too long may lose potency and is not eligible for a free replacement.

  • No. We specialize in the Hypermobility Type (hEDS), which is a clinical diagnosis. We do not provide genetic testing for vascular or classical subtypes. If your history suggests a vascular involvement (vEDS), we will refer you to a genomic specialist.

  • The short answer: It depends. We don't prescribe 'vanity' doses for quick fixes. However, we often use GLP-1 protocols as a tool for systemic stabilization—specifically for patients dealing with chronic inflammatory pain, metabolic sluggishness, or those needing a maintenance strategy to prevent weight regain.

That said, we are a clinical practice, not a vending machine. We look at your whole picture (labs, history, and goals). If we determine that medication isn't a safe or appropriate fit for your body, we reserve the right to decline treatment and suggest a different path toward flourishing.

  • We are a consultative specialty practice. We require all members to maintain a relationship with a Primary Care Provider (PCP) for routine screenings, urgent illness, and emergency care. We do not act as a replacement for your general medical home
